November 2025:
Congress passes Epstein Files Transparency Act (427-1 in House, unanimous in Senate). Trump signs it into law. DOJ has 30 days to release all files.
December 19, 2025:
DOJ releases first batch - heavily redacted. 550 pages completely blacked out including 255-page series and 119-page grand jury transcript. Bipartisan criticism erupts.
December 2025 - Redaction Failure:

January 30, 2026:
DOJ releases additional 3 million pages including 2,000 videos and 180,000 images. DOJ claims this is "final release" and legal obligations met. Critics note 6 million total pages estimated, only 3.5 million released.
September 16-17, 2025:
Kash Patel testifies before Congress. Rep. Jamie Raskin plays video of Patel's 2023 statements promising transparency "because of who's on that list." Patel now claims court orders prevent release. Rep. Dan Goldman: "You are hiding the Epstein files, Mr. Patel. You are part of the cover-up."
Republican Lawmakers Block Financial Investigation
Every Judiciary Republican except Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) voted AGAINST subpoenaing:
